1947 Womelsdorf Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Company Engine Housing Pinback.
Item is a 1.75” rwb celluloid pinback from an event held in Womelsdorf Pennsylvania.
It was a celebration for the arrival of a newfire engine, specifically an American LaFrance Pumper.
The pinback or badge was most likely a souvenir given out at the parade which accompanied the housing of the new piece of equipment. Has a picture of the engine along with text WOMELSDORF VOL. FIRE CO. in large block text and In Honor of Jack Hafer in smaller block text and 1895-1947 HOUSING below.
Pinback itself is Very Good Plus to Excellent with strong image and no celluloid cracks or breaks. The reverse of the pinback shows some rust to the collet in two places and some staining under the celluloid near the O and the U in HOUSING.
