3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Atillery/188th Pa. Memoriam Badge Civil War. This is an extremely badge that was produced to memorialize members of the 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery and the 188th Pa. Volunteers. While the 188th fought in the Eastern Theatre, the 3rd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery saw service at Gettysburg fighting at East Cavalry Field. There is a monument to them at Gettysburg. The badge is complete with only some material missing from the front. The pin is present on the reverse. We have only encountered a few of these over the years. They are extremely hard to come by.
