Fire Department Metal Coat Buttons vintage England lot of 14
I am charged with selling some of my stepdad’s estate/collectibles for my mom. Save this store as a favorite as I will be listing bundles and singles for years to come, from games, political, sports, Hollywood and civil war to an immense world class collection of worlds fair and exposition pieces.
Here is a lot of 14 metal coat buttons all with the F.D and laurel leaves.
There are 2 different manufacturers; English made silver tone J. J. Gault in two sizes and “Superior Quality” gold tone buttons.
The quality/wear differs, the gold tone ones need cleaning.
9 are made by, and say on the back “J. R. Gaunt and Son. Inc. New York Made in England”. Silver large, 8 pieces. Silver small, 1 piece.
5 are made by “Superior Quality”. Gold large, 5 pieces. These show threads from where they were removed from a garment.
