    Description

    These items are various pieces of documentation from about 70 yrs ago.  The handwritten daily log journal pages are from Hook & Ladder 17, a hook & Ladder on the east side of the city which, at that time, had by far the largest response district in the city of any ladder unit like it, going from 83rd st to 137th St.  Receipts are from fuel for High Pressure #6, which was a unit which went to all extra alarms on the south side, as you can see by how much gas they filled up on almost each day, & also the same receipts for Engine 80, a pumper unit who had to relocated from their 1880 firehouse, & which was temporarily housed in the same firehouse with Engine 46, Hook & Ladder 17, & High Pressure 6,
