Found as vintage or reproductions, the Teutonic 3-legged Eagle at the center of the buttons with the wording around the edge transcribed in English to mean “God Is Our Hope” are in very good condition for collecting or wear.
The buttons may have come of a Hessian soldier, mercenaries used by the British during the Revolutionary War. However, modern blazer buttons of this type are often found.
