Vintage Child's Souvenir Toy Badge, JUNIOR FIRE DEPARTMENT INSPECTOR from Los Angeles, California.  It is made of metal and measures 2 3/4" long and is 2" wide. Excellent vintage condition.  I am sure that it was given as a promotional to school age kids.  Came from a large button collection that we purchased from a man.  I am assuming that this is from the 1960's based on his age and he told us that all of the buttons were his that he had either bought or was given as promo items.
Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age.  That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire.  If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible.  In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description.
